   my teacher is afraid of birds since she saw this when see was 9 and during her birthday her husband n sons n daughter bought her this movie just to be mean. the movie looks pretty retarted id you ask me.

   I’m a 1990s kid too but I don’t agree with you about the graphics being “horrible”, I mean for a start, it is an early 1960s film, so I don’t think they’re that bad for the time. Some of the scenes look quite convincing to me, even more realistic than some cheesy 1970s or 1980s films. But this was made before the ‘swinging sixties’ kicked in, which is why it looks more 1950s than 1960s. If this film were made a few years later, they would all probably be hippies!

   i cant believe what the put the actors for to make this movie. the actually attached a bird on to her and made it bite her can you believe that? i’m not saying this is a bad movie, its a classic but you should never do that for a movie in my opinion.

   @savysavanah they didnt make it bite her, they trained the birds in this movie and put string around the beaks so it wouldnt hurt anyone, they were rly just throwing birds at her face although they held onto the legs, though and tippi was so tired that she had to be in the hospital for a week while they were shooting. in the seen where the birds were attacking the kids they put food in the kids hair so the birds would come to them, but again, they never really bit anyone.

    @yes4me Yes, it is scary. That’s what suspense does, it makes you feel uncomfortable and tense through psychological ‘tricks’. It uses our own fears and psychological flaws against us (and that is scary). It uses our anticipation and cognitive abilities to mislead us. It’s actually more scary than modern horror or thrillers films.

    anyone who thinks this film is not scary and is rubbish, ARE WRONG!!! IT IS ONE OF THE SCARIEST AND BEST FILMS I HAVE EVER SEEN.

    That’s an awesome idea. That one scene is like the perfect trailer… tells you enough about the movie to whet your interest, but that’s it. Cool.
